My least favorite promotions agency, Source Marketing, has just won a big pitch.
They have a tasty piece (bad pun intended) of the Masterfoods account, with my very attractive informant telling me that they were tasked with launching a new product, M&Ms Premiums. No word on additional reponsibilities on the M&Ms brand or within Masterfoods.
Apparently, M&Ms Premiums are to be just what the name says, premium, higher-end chocolate in tasty little bites.
Sometimes bad agencies win good business (see: Y&R), and this appears to be a situation like that. So congratulations of a sort to Source Marketing.
Shame on the agencies that lost.
