From what I hear (thank you loyal reader with the inside scoop, you keep my blog from falling into irrelevance), the axe is dropping at Cadbury Schweppes this week.
The internal marketing team will be sorted out by the end of the week and big cuts are expected.
No word on what this means for Cadbury Schweppes’ roster of agencies, which includes the evil Y&R for advertising, VML for interactive and the in-review Mediaedge:cia for media, but let’s go out on a limb and say that it is not going to be good.
Already, the word is that an agency shake-up is imminent, but not until the turmoil subsides a little bit.
This de-merger gets more interesting by the day.
