You heard it here first: Mediaedge is screwed.
Like all headlines I’ve read recently, this one completely overpromises. Though not screwed per se, they are not in a great spot. A very secretive, very KGB-like source (I feel like Agency Spy) from within the media giant (who, as an aside, I really wish was the person who took the incriminating picture of the girl who shit her pants at the Fox upfront a few years back) has informed me that strategic missteps, faulty execution and staffing issues (and the Band in a Bubble debacle) will cost Mediaedge the Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverage business, makers of Dr Pepper, 7UP, Snapple and other liquid forms of sugary goodness.
They are defending the account in review, but I hear that they have no hope.
Is it a good idea to pitch with the same team that lost the account? Class? Anyone? Anyone?
